Upon recommendation by the Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (TTDARES), the Taimali Township 40th Sugar Apple Production and Marketing Team competed and succeeded in being named one of the 2019 National Top Ten Outstanding Agricultural Production and Marketing Teams through its excellent performance. Most members of the team are young farmers, and being team-oriented, they operate and manage their tasks well. All of them insist upon safe, healthy, and eco-friendly production, working hard in the areas of organic and eco-friendly farming. They have actively held to government policy regarding the production and marketing CV system: over 60% of the members have received production and marketing CV certification based on their adherence to policies set by the Council of Agriculture (COA) regarding safe and reduced agrochemical use, and all of the members passed the COA’s agrochemical residue self-inspection standards. The team is thus a great example for other agricultural production and marketing teams to follow.
