2019-06-06

The Taitung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station (TTDARES) of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan held the Farmers’ Academy—Advanced Class on Outstanding Annona Cultivation Management, which came to a smooth end on May 31. Class content for the 29 trainees was highly practical in helping them sharpen their Annona cultivation skills. The classes were held at the Banchiu Branch Station, and the director there, Lu Bo-song, taught the classes. Trainees worked in discussion groups so they could brainstorm together and engage in teamwork. Also, fieldwork allowed them to gain an understanding of important know-how, boosting their professional capacity. TTDARES director Chen Hsin-yen stated that the objective of the class was to allow trainees to learn specifically about growing Annona, offering help in a much-needed aspect, which in turn will benefit the development of Taitung’s Annona industry. He also told trainees that if they have any problems in the future, the TTDARES is more than happy to provide assistance.

A certificate of completion is received by a representative of all the trainees. Learning grafting hands-on. Trainees listening to a report in groups.
