The TTDARES has developed effective, eco-friendly (no agrochemicals required) fruit tree pest and disease management approaches based on “eco-power” that match with a variety of field management measures and the use of organic materials. At the TTDARES Banchiu Branch Station orchard in Binlang on June 25, 2024, the TTDARES held the Eco-friendly Fruit Tree Pest and Disease Management Techniques and Agriculture Disaster Prevention Information Seminar to provide farmers with related information. In addition, June falls in the typhoon season, and since obtaining typhoon information is important to increase farmers’ capacity to respond, the Agriculture Disaster Prevention and Weather Information Platform was introduced, which makes it easier for farmers to be aware of related information so that they may take preventive measures in advance to reduce losses when bad weather is expected.
